Elena and Denis enjoyed moderate success as eligibles, but have gained great popularity as professionals. They are known for their physical strength and innovativeness, and toured with Stars On Ice for seven years (1994-2000). Elena now coaches in Richmond while Denis toured for two more years. Both are now full-time coaches and Elena has started a family with husband Wayne Ellis and a son born in 2002. Denis married 1995 World Champion Chen Lu on July 8, 2005. Their son Nikita was born in 2006.
